BEST TREATMENT RECOMMENDED
  • It is combining the best of the agronomic studies we have achieved on Hamlins for processing fruit.
  • • +40% marketable yield in this study
  • • +369 Lb solids/acre in the study of 2018, same grower, same crop, same place.
  • • 39% fruit drop reduction in the study 2018 on Hamlins same grower, same crop, same place.
App A

App B

1 Qt/A

POST-BLOOM

App C

APPLICATIONS in the study
  • FOLIAR APPLICATIONS:
  • [A]: 02/24/2021
  • • Initial bloom 20%
  • • [B]: 04/05/2021
  • • Post-Bloom
  • [C]: 09/17/2021
  • • Fall flush
AGRONOMIC PROTOCOL
  • • A yield trial was conducted in 2021 at a commercial Hamlin grove in Frostproof, FL.
  • • Hamlin trees were planted (2011) in a north/south direction with tree spacing of 12.5 ft x 30 ft (116 trees/A)
  • • The 10 year old block was about 9 to 10 ft in height
  • • Plot size was 7 trees long (87.5 ft) and treatments were replicated 5 times in adjacent rows
  • • Buffer rows were included between replications to minimize drift effects
  • • Experimental treatment is applied with a tractor mounted Rears Pak Blast calibrated at 125 GPA driving 1.8 MPH
EVALUATIONS

FRUIT COUNT:

  • • Fruit counts were conducted on 28 June 2021 across the center 5 trees of the 7 tree plot.
  • • Fruit was counted at about 5 ft in height at the mid-section of each tree.
  • • Ten fruit counts were made on the west side of each plot and 10 fruit counts were made on the east side of the plot.
  • • Fruit counts were made across an area of 0.5m^3 and 2 counts were made per tree.

BIOFLAVONOIDS ANALYSIS ON JUICE:

  • • Flavonoid content of micro gram per 300 gram juice sample.
  • Total flavonoids included and tested: naringin, hesperidin, naringenin, eriocitrin, didymin, hesperetin, rutin, narirutin, neohesperidin, and neohesperidin dihydrochalcone.

BIOFLAVONOIDS CONTENT IN THE ORANGE JUICE TESTED
  • • Flavonoid content of micro gram per 300 gram juice sample.
  • Total flavonoids tested: naringin, hesperidin, naringenin, eriocitrin, didymin, hesperetin, rutin, narirutin, neohesperidin, and neohesperidin dihydrochalcone

Notes:

  • By passing the cursor on the graph, you will obtain the raw data.
  • The treatment improves slighlty the good bioflavonoids content in orange juice as listed above. (+7%)
