METHODOLOGY
  • Plastic beds (32-inch top, 6 inches tall) were prepared on a 6-foot row spacing. Tomato (cv. charger) were hand-transplanted into one row/bed (18 inches plant spacing) on 8/25/2016.
  • Each plot was 30 feet in length x 3 beds (30 feet length x 18 feet width)
  • Each treatment was replicated four (4) times.
EVALUATION (Fruit count & weight)
  • 3 Harvests
  • All fruits were counted and weighed in lbs (100%)
  • The cumulative fruit count and weight were also tabulated at 21 DAH (Days After Harvest)
PHYTOTOXICITY

Plants were examined for signs of phytotoxicity (stunting, discoloration, etc.) at 21 DAH using a 0-100% rating scale; 0 = no phytotoxicity and 100% = dead plants.

PROGRAM STANDARD RECOMMENDED

• To combine the improvement of the efficacy of the fungicides + the quality yield, we recommend this program.

Study conducted in Florida by John Curtis, PhD, (Better Crops LLC) from September to December 2016 in open field. Plants were staked and maintained at a commercial level with fertilizer/insecticide/fungicide (liquid fertilizer through drip every other day). 3 Harvests: In fruit count, VEGRO® shows the best results +21% in average and 3rd harvest shows the highest gap: +48%

Application starts at 9 leaves after planting. Open field, 35 days between planting and 9 leaves. Then application every 7 days.
