TREATMENTS
  • [T1] Grower Standard (GS): Admire Pro @ 0.05 oz. per tree x 6 times over the course of 12 months (every 2 months).12-8-6 dry fertilizer @ 4 oz. per tree applied x 3 over the course of 12 months. (every 4 months)
  • [T2] PROG. A = GS + FOLIAR + CYAN 365®
  • [T3] PROG. B = GS + FOLIAR CYAN 365® + SOIL CYAN 365®
Agronomic Protocol
CROP
  • Ruby Red Grapefruit on Sour Orange Root stock. Applications Aug. 2016 to Aug. 2017
  • (12 months). Trees were 1 year old before transplanting.
FOR THIS TRIAL:
  • 3 quarts of Cyan 365® for the whole length of the trial. (96 oz or x 12 half pints)
  • 140 Trees per acre as density reference.
  • 0.7 oz. Cyan 365® total received per tree for 12 months.
  • 12 applications, once a month
  • 0.07 oz. Cyan 365® per tree per application.
Custom made plexiglass box

A special box with an aluminum frame has been especially designed for this very "unique" trial. The matter here was to isolate the exact same tree, coming from the exact same batch #. The idea was also to frame as much as possible the abiotic stress and weather conditions and to have a eye visual of the root development. Dirt from a citrus grove has been used to fill each compartiment. Compartiment totally and hermetically sealed to each other. Among a batch of about 500 trees, we randomised a picking of 6 young citrus trees. Each tree receives a standard program of nutrition and protection.

Cyan 365® is zero Phyto-toxicity

For the roots mass:

  • +474 Grams more weight for [T3] CYAN 365® when applied by soil + foliar Vs the grower Std. [T1]
  • x 4 times more root mass in [T3] than the grower standard in [T1]
  • +179 Grams more weight for [T2] CYAN 365® applied by foliar only Vs the grower Std. [T1]
  • x 2.3 times more root mass in [T2] than the grower standard in [T1]

For the trunk diameter:

  • +6 Millimeters (+0.24 inches) trunks thicker for [T2] & [T3] compared to the grower standard [T1]
  • +43% thicker in percentage. 1.43 times thicker than the grower standard [T1]

Objectives: The aim of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of CYAN 365® to improve the root mass and the trunk diameter for young perennial fruit trees (citrus). For this trial a special custom made plexiglass box with 6 compartments have been realized. This study is also demonstrating the interest to apply CYAN 365® by foliar only or by soil and foliar applications.

Control Vs. CYAN 365® Foliar Vs. CYAN 365® Foliar & Soil

The left 2 trees are part of the control group [T1]. The 2 trees in the center are trees that were treated with CYAN 365® by only foliar application [T2]. The 2 trees on far right are trees that were treated with CYAN 365® by foliar and soil application [T3].

Root Mass evaluation between the Grower Standard [T1] and [T2] & [T3]

[T3] CYAN 365® Soil & Foliar multiplied by 4 times (+614 Grs) the root mass found on [T1]. By foliar only [T2] is also performing very well because it is multiplying by 2.4 times the root mass compared to [T1].
